People are people, and they don't always make the best choices or handle things in the best way. I like the idea that Rodney and John are committed enough to each other and sure enough of themselves that they can work through some of those issues. I think they might be just a hair co-dependant, but hey, it's atlantis. Maybe it's just appropriate adaptation.
