This is so good, and an amazing take on the challenge. It makes me regret the fact that it's highly unlikely that we will see the reactions of Atlantis to the missing status of their head team - although, I think after reading this, if it were shown, it wouldn't come close to this fic. I think Teyla's is my favourite, simply because you've made Halling (a character I love to hate) so likeable and believable, and captured that sense of alien-ness and outsider-status that the Athosians have, and that Teyla struggles to straddle. Although this is my favourite line:
