Rodney rocked to rhythm of his own impending insanity.
The beast was upon him, gnashing teeth and cold dead eyes.
“I want more.”
He twisted the k-bar knife, drilling the point into his finger until an Ouroboros of blood twined around the blade, claret red and infinitely tasty.
Sheppard screamed in the distance, failing to evade the hunting predators who needed to eat him.
Rodney sliced on dead, pale grey flesh sharing his hiding place until ruby elixir welled. He drew the dead hand to his lips and sucked.
Enzyme.
Rush.
“Let’s save Sheppard.”
What a good excuse.
