I thought a lot about this story on the way to work yesterday and came to the conclusion that what I really don't like about John's attitude is his complete disregard for Rodney's feelings. Rodney says:
"I just didn't want to be the next in a long line of conquests. It makes me feel like I'm getting soiled goods."
And yet, that's exactly what Rodney is, and John almost laughs at him for thinking it. And then later John thinks:
It figured Rodney would pick what took the most work.
Sheesh, don't give the guy a choice and then complain when he makes one!
Yeah, John's not in a good headspace here, and he definitely doesn't understand what Rodney is thinking/going through, because Rodney's not playing by the rules, but I can see why some may hate John a little for it.
