We're about an hour north of Tallahassee, so when I say south, I MEAN SOUTH =D

Man, you aren't kidding. My sister goes to school in Statesboro, and I always forget just what a different animal south Georgia is to the Piedmont region.

"Why does this crazy woman hope I'm having a nice day!? o_O;;" =D

::laughs:: Exactly! I mean, I say "Yes, ma'am," and "No, sir," because It's Polite, Dammit, and people stare.

My waitress got all offended once, actually-- I guess she thought I was mocking her, or something-- or maybe she just thought I was indicated that she was old by calling her ma'am. I really wasn't, though-- it's just an automatic response at this point: if you're serving me, or doing something nice, or-- hell, if I don't know you, and I want to show some respect-- I'm going to call you "ma'am" or "sir." Has nothing to do with age.
