The first horror novel I picked up as a child had the victim paralyzed but still able to see and hear what the villains around her were doing. I stopped reading horror novels after that since I was afraid to go to sleep for around a week. I wish I could remember the name of the book, particularly after being so vividly reminded of it.
That is to say, I found this profoundly creepy. I loved the the individual team members reactions - it was fascinating to see the same event through such different perceptions. I loved how Ronon and Teyla built on the other's descriptions. Thanks - I'll remember this one for a long time (without the nightmares, I hope).
