Actually, ironically enough, the point where I stalled out on writing the long version of the story was the point where I had to assign Teyla her power, because I couldn't really think what to give her. The idea is kind of amusing to me that nobody ever figures it out, because she never uses it and is good enough at hiding whatever side effects that it may have that the others don't catch on. She just goes ahead and kicks butt with her sticks, as usual.
