Oh. It's a book, and it's about a town that can't experience things, sort of. Like, they have no clue what warmth feels like, and they can't see colors - anyway, one of the people is appointed to be the Giver, and he feels and sees all these things that the other villagers can't. So, when John sort of gave Rodney sleep, it just reminded me of that.
