That is my all time favorite fairy tale and this is just lovely!! *sigh* It would be rather hard to explain in the modern age - no matter which sister you were. I love her mother's complex feelings about having a daughter...I think I would too.

All in all, a wonderful read that has reminded me of a story I've loved very much. Thank you!
