Ouch. Strangely, I didn't find it creepy, especially in light of some of the things that people do to themselves on Earth (including foot binding and neck rings). Just interesting. It's actually amazing that they *haven't* run across people who do some sort of extreme body modification yet. And that's a neat, Pegasus Galaxy twist on the whole idea. I can see why it actually *would* have worked on the Wraith; who wants to eat cattle that obviously have something wrong with them? They're just lucky that the Wraith didn't decide to purge the planet to keep it from spreading!

Now I'm curious what *would* happen if a Wraith tried to feed on an actual Asgard.
