Oh god, I don't know who you broke more - me or John Sheppard... *sniff* I think this hurt more because he was so brutally confronted with his choices/he was actually forced to face the consequences of his actions ie what didn't happen as a result of his choices. That, and we the readers know the potential of John Sheppard - and glorified light switch at Area 51 is just not it.
