Very cool. I love AU's like this, where only one thing has changed, and you see how that affects so much. Your John made me sad, and I am sure you are not far off in your depiction. He hides a lot with that smirk and quick wit, I think, and I'm still not sure if being on Atlantis is helping him, because he's got friends and family, or hurting, because he feels responsible for so many people that keep dying.
