Given that there was never the opportunity to walk away from one another in Atlantis, I really do think they would all feel very protective of one another -- and would be people who wouldn't just ignore things or be afraid to step up. Landry and the others probably wouldn't have been as awful as I like to think of them being during that time, but if you can't have the Wraith or the Genii or Replicators in the story, you have to find your conflict elsewhere ;)
