First, yay, I'm so happy to see a name I recognize from another fandom jumping (or being pushed, whatever *g*) into yet another fandom I love and adore!

Second, wow. Loved the story. Loved the concept, and John's thoughts, and the hot, fast smut (duh *g*), and the slow, sweet kiss, and the ending was wonderful.
