Fic: Comes Wisdom (Abandonment Challenge / Amnesty 2006)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I own nothing, but do enjoy playing in the sandbox
Summary: 'In our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God.' Aeschylus, Agamemnon (as quoted by Robert F. Kennedy). ~2700 words.
A/N: thanks to the insightful, comma-vigilent [livejournal.com profile] dogeared, whose advice about the ending was so beautifully on the mark.

John remembers nothing of how they got to this point – rough-hewn platform splintering beneath his knees; wrists bound; vision blurring from the pain at the base of his skull . . . )

Disclaimer: I own nothing, I’m merely using the characters for my own amusement.
Spoilers: Nothing major, though some small references to SG1 Season 9. Main concept came from a repeated reference in the second half of SGA season 2, but it’s nothing earth shattering, and has been mentioned in season 1 (Rising).

Summary: Some things are inevitable from the first, though you don’t always know it.

Five Stages [Gen, PG] by Shadow Side

"Five Stages"
Challenge: Amnesty - a mixture of Darkness, Enclosed Spaces and Abandonment
Archive: Wraithbait and Penumbris
Setting: Tag for The Brotherhood
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1120
Many Thanks To: [livejournal.com profile] davechicken for the beta!
Notes: This fic was a LONG time in the plotting – the basic premise came to me months ago, but I didn’t want to write it until I had a better idea of what, exactly, was going through Kolya’s head, because he wouldn’t tell me. It eventually became clear that much of it was connected to death and the concept of the five stages of dying – but with a twist.
Summary: Alone in the underground chamber on Dagan, Kolya considers his second failed mission and wonders if death is preferable.

Commander Kolya had long been rather partial to underground bunkers... )

Challenge: Amnesty (Abandonment)
Title: A Bedtime Story
Author: tigs
Pairing: Er, McKay/Bed. Yeah.
Disclaimer: Not mine, unfortunately. Crack!fic to the nth degree.
Summary: For 10,000 years she’d lain in this room, waiting, hoping for someone to come. Set post-Siege III.

Amnesty: Such Is The Way To The Stars by Otter

Challenge: Amnesty (38 Minutes)
Title: Such Is The Way To The Stars
Author: Otter
Summary: Getting by in a world of finite resources. More or less.
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Sheppard/McKay. I know, right?
Notes: I wrote this for my Sal, who wanted a fic themed on "a guilty act". It kind of started off that way but became something else, so I've renamed it, but it's still for Sal. Just 'cause. This is unbeta'ed flashfic-type-stuff, obviously, and I actually wrote it in like 37.5 minutes. That's probably why it's so like... what's the word... pointless. It is not, technically, rocket science. But I hope it's okay.

Ramus, by The Moonmoth [Amnesty Challenge (Abandon)]

Challenge: Season One Amnesty (Abandonment)
Title: Ramus
Author: The Moonmoth
Summary: Strange things keep happening to Rodney's reality, and not all of them are called John Sheppard.
Rating: R
Notes: It's, um, a bit long. I started it for the original abandon challenge, and the damn thing just kept growing. It got so long I had to split it in two, so a sequel is in the works. Ramus is Latin and means 'branch'. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, concrit esp. so.
