Rousing, by Chirallune
Title: Rousing
Author: Chirallune
Rating: G
Summary: She is so very tired, and all she wants is sleep.
Notes: Longtime lurker, first-time poster, for fanfic in general. Unbeta'ed. Sentient!Atlantis fic, 100 words.
ROUSING
How she loved them. How she wanted to scream, as one by one they left her to wait silent eternity. Their ghosts and echoes filled her halls, her walking dreams.
His first step shudders through to her core, pulls her inexorably from the still comfort of her dark oblivion. She tries not to hate him. But her makers abandoned her ten thousand years ago, and she is so very tired, and all she wants is sleep.
He is so like them, impossible to resist. Everywhere he walks she springs to life again despite herself. She cannot help but love him.

Yeah, kinda makes me want to pet Atlantis too. Much as I like the 'John-in-her-thrall' stories, because he so could be, she's already in his the moment he steps through that wormhole.
