The backstory was amazingly well-done, but my favorite was the moments of emotion for each of the characters-- often in tv shows that don't ususally deal with emotional issues, epsiodes that do twist the characters a bit, but this was Shep and Rodney and Teyla as they always are, but with their moments of vulnerability coming through. Also, Ronon in the cage saying "they're good people."
