Cover art: 'Searching for love' by Dzurlady (Harlequin challenge)

After the challenge was extended for a week, I got bitten by a plot bunny on crack, and began to write. This is not that fic - there was no way I was going to be finished in time to post it - but it is the cover. 'Searching for Love' - a loving homage to bad romance covers everywhere.

With thanks to [livejournal.com profile] delurker for beta viewing it.

Oh wow, this challenge has been so fabulous, and I really love all the cover art as well as the fic.

This rocks so much, and I would totally read this book, even though I wouldn't normally read anything Harlequin-y at all.

Love the Pegasus imprint logo. It's the little details that put me in awe of the visual creativity of people in this challenge

You already know I like this - the pegasus on the spine! the colour! the dodgy computer generated picture for the front cover! the embossed look for the title! the romance blurb phrases! hee!

Oh, wow! Yeah, I'd definitely buy this book on the strength of the cover....

This is bloody brilliant! Sign me up for a copy when it comes out! :)

This looks really, really good. Are you going to put the story up in the newly-created SGA Harlequin comm?

Amazing work on the cover.

[identity profile] ruggerdavey.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think that comm is going to be really awesome.

I can't wait to read the fic! The cover is awesome!

Adorable! And the plot sounds wonderfully crackful. Can't wait.

The cover is great! I love the little Pegasus on the spine. I can't wait to read the story :) !

You need to get a job designing book covers, because I'm ready to go to Amazon.com and order this book! *g*

Great job.

And now with the advent of [livejournal.com profile] harlequin_sga, you can write your story and post it there!

Oh, perfect, just perfect. The logo and the number, because all those Harlequin and Silhouette novels are numbered. I would so pick this up and read it.

Plus Elizabeth as John's sister!

[identity profile] auburnnothenna.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
And John and Elizabeth do have a sibling kinda vibe.

That's why I had to say something, because they so do! (Which is really funny coming from someone busily engaged in co-writing an epic where they really don't act like siblings. Except those in VC Andrews novels.)

I will so pounce on your story whenever it's finished. I have become a total crackfic addict.

This is great! I *love* the strap line - perfect :)

The details on this are just marvelous! I would buy copies of this book for all my friends! I adore "the fragile love they've discovered"; I'm sure that will pop into my head the next time they're onscreen.

This is a perfect cover. I spent many years buying romance novels, and this description would definitely have gotten me to take it home.

It would be wonderful if you'd write this story for the new Harlequin community! :-)

Yes, this cover would definitely get me to buy the book. Of course, I'd probably be in an airport bookstore and then would embarass myself by laughing out loud at the sheer joy of finding homoerotic romances as airplane reading.

I really need bittersweet chocolate.
