I'm not here, I'm writing up my thesis, I'm not playing in the fandom paddling pool, okay? Hee, written in ten minutes at 5am *facepalms*



"It will be the adventure of a lifetime."

And I, stupidly, had replied "I need to discuss it with my husband."

"He’s not invited," she had reminded me.

He just said no. He said even less when he packed up and ran off with an undergrad six weeks later.

Since then I’ve kept my head down and my attention on the job, on getting another research grant, on paying my too-big mortgage and feeding my cat.

Yet sometimes, as I try not to growl at the freshers, I think about that offer.

I wonder if Dr Weir found her adventure.
