Title: Stay Awake (PG)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] benj_inbtw (billie)
Summary: Maybe he just watched a western too much, read one cowboy comic too much, but still, it's what he's always wanted for himself.
Notes: ~460 words, gen, no spoilers, post-S4. Written in 38 minutes and posted just in time, which means it's unbetaed (so please point out all the grave errors that are bound to be in this). Not mine, just playing with 'em.

Title: ZOMG
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lanna_kitty
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: AU, AU, AU. also? DEATHFIC!!! and crack.
Timeframe: Post S4
Length: 3390 words
Pairings: John /Elizabeth, Sam/Jack (both established)
Summary: "Mitchell's going to be so jealous."
For the[livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic 2007 Amnesty. The "Ways to Die" Challenge.

ZOMG! )
[identity profile] saphanibaal.livejournal.com
-title- In Case of Emergency
-author- Sophonisba ([livejournal.com profile] saphanibaal)
-warnings- Gen. Strong language and some violence. In my head, this is part of my canon-asymptotic AU, but it isn't doing anything alternative in particular here.
-timeframe- Between "Hot Zone" and "Sanctuary."
-spoilers- For "Hot Zone," and... well, it references something that happened in early SG-1, but something that's fairly general knowledge (and I don't know the episode title, anyway).
-characters- AR-1, Miko, Zelenka, Kavanagh, Simpson, Elizabeth, Bates, et al.
-disclaimer- SGA, of course, is not mine.
-word count- 1464
-summary- The emergency failsafes in the Ancient labs are ATA-compliant.

In the movie, the device appeared to work on the same principle as the Stargate, so I see no reason why it couldn't be equally stolen here. )

Title: Signs of Rapture, called Apocalypse
Author: 2ndary_author
Fandom: Stargate: Atlantis
Characters: Rodney, Elizabeth, Kate Heightmeyer, (offstage: Sheppard, Beckett)
Rating: PG-13; spoilers for 'Sunday'
Notes:   The first section was written for the Secret Superpowers challenge and then morphed into a Ways to Die challenge. and outgrew flashfic.   As may become apparent, it's a sequel to  Signs Taken for Wonders and other assorted snippets (tagged as signs 'verse over at my journal). It's kind of a loose interpretation of the challenge. Epigraph by David Gerrold

[identity profile] saphanibaal.livejournal.com
-title- Ex Machina
-author- Sophonisba ([livejournal.com profile] saphanibaal)
-warnings- Gen. AU. Sort of a crossover, but not one that requires additional knowledge -- it was going to be longer, but then it would have, so I cut it off.
-timeframe- After "Sanctuary."
-spoilers- For "Hot Zone," a minor one for "Sanctuary" that probably everyone knows by now, and... um... the idea that Atlantis as-is is sort of a giant floating deathtrap is probably not actually new to anyone looking at this community, is it?
-characters- Teyla; an Ancient ^_^
-disclaimer- SGA, of course, is not mine. The, er, Ancient originally belonged to Alliance Atlantis (although his language choices were a little different when not speaking to an Athosian). One of the machine labels is gacked from one in a Star Trek: Next Gen novel; I cannot remember the title or who wrote it, but I rather believe it was #5 or #6. Thartessus/Tartessos was a thriving Bronze Age city near the mouth of, I believe, the Guadalquivir, well before the Classical Greek period; some authorities say it was part of the original inspiration for Atlantis, and others think they're wishful-thinking at best.
-word count- 1752
-summary- Teyla runs into a helpful Ancient, for a change. ^_^

Teyla was walking in a long open unexplored hall curving around a tower, outer side floor-to-ceiling glass, when she saw the Ancestor. )

Title: Leader of the Laundromat
Author: Audrey Lynne
Pairing: Rodney/Radek
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None needed :)
Spoilers: None
Category: Humor, AU, John-Rodney friendship
Summary: John and Rodney do their laundry.  And talk.  And if things like autoerotic asphyxiation and other undignified ways to die come up, along with the death of Rodney's single status...well, that's just par for the course around this place.  Part of The Bar AU, found at [profile] thebarsga.  No need to read the other stories first, though you're welcome to.  Just know that they live in Manhattan, Rodney plays piano at a bar called Atlantis, and John at the bar is a friend of his.  Oh, yeah, and Rodney's dating a totally hot Czech professor.
