Carson? Is going for the mother of all guilt trips. Although in his defense, he wasn't the one who administered it to Everett's team or the Daedalus crew. What's going to kill him is the children - It was a no win situation. It's a protective measure to give the children the therapy - it takes better the younger you are, and the city needs all the skilled ATA+ personnel it can get. They didn't know when they started injecting the kids what the consequences would be, and the parents all had a vague idea of the risks. But the risks of not getting the therapy were almost as great at the time.
If there's ever an attack, you want your child to be able to open doors and activate tech. Do you deny your child the chance to bond with their surroundings in a unique way that might ensure their survival? Or do you cross your fingers and pray it all turns out all right?
