Gorgeous story -- made my stomach go clenchy with tightness and adoration. My favorite part has to be John's sincere and reasoning desire to weigh Rodney down enough to keep him. It could've gone uglier -- with jealousy or frantic melodrama -- but you wrote his concern and love with a certain sweetness and level-headedness that touched me.
You always manage to write their connection in a way that's meaningful and warm... lovely.
