Title: Expected

Author: [livejournal.com profile] goddess47

Rating: G

Warnings/Spoilers: Mpreg

Pairing: McKay/Sheppard

Length: 1350 words

Summary: For the  [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Amnesty Challenge: Kidfic -- Something finally goes right.

Note: Second part of a larger WIP that may never see daylight that, well, I'm sharing as is. An earlier and related piece is here Unexpected and while it's not required, this makes a tad more sense if you read that first since it's precedes this part of the story. But heck, now that I have this much done I may actually go off and finish it.

*sends kids to college*--wow, it took me so long to close the Kidfic Challenge, these kids are all grown up now. You can read the 32 entries here or using the kidfic challenge tag.

New challenge coming right up!

Title: Fall
Author: kiku65
Pairing: Gen
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Surprise.
Warnings: Character death. Story is based around my assumptions for The Last Man, so spoilers. And, well, kinda depressing.
Summery: There are stories. New ones, old ones, blendings of the two. But most stories, as you might have guessed, are about the Fall.

Title: Running Wild
Author: [livejournal.com profile] scarlet_gryphon
Rating: Gen/ PG
Category: Futurefic, gen, family, minor cross-over of a sort
Words: ~ 725
Notes: Apparently, my muse has decided that I've got to write at least two stories per challenge, not counting the vacation challenge, even though I'm in the middle of a totally separate story that needs to be updated desparately. Set in the same 'verse as "Hushabye Mountain", "Home, Sweet Home", "Laughs of Sorrow", and "Tears of Joy". Hmm... I should probably think up a name for this 'verse... Any suggestions? As this is a futurefic, Lorne is now a Lt. Col., and Shep is a full-bird Col. Oh, and Weir is still alive. Also features mentions of a character from another 'verse that's found on my ff.net account, which technically makes this a cross-over of sorts, but my theory is that SG-1 (Both current and old members, as well as spouses/families) simply "retired" to Atlantis once they felt they were done with the SGC. Also, Lorne is a natural ATA Gene carrier in this 'verse, 'cause I'm not sure if the therapy would carry over to a retrovirus'd carrier's kids. Right. Enough ramblings, on with the story!

Title: To The Grave
Rating: PG-13
Character: Teyla Emmagen
Warnings: Blood, death
Summary: Even in the womb, her people know this sound.

Author's Note: ...well, this did not turn out like I was thinking it would, but since it was written for this challenge and still has to do with "kids"...

There is a peace in this, a simple acceptance of the reality that lies around her without protest or illusion of control. )

Summary: It's hard for the ones who wait.
Spoilers: Mild ones through "Shrine".

Edit: [livejournal.com profile] xparrot wrote a sequel/fixit tag to this. Despite her warnings in the headers, it really doesn't undermine my characterizations at all; I think it works beautifully as a companion piece to this one, working off the base I built while expanding on the gen side of things that was a bit underplayed in mine. God, I love fandom sometimes. ^_^

Title: Details of the War (3,287 words)
Author: busaikko
Beta: [livejournal.com profile] kimberlyfdr, who braved the run-on sentences of doom and despair (^-^);
Fandom: SGA / SG1 crossover AU (Jack POV)
Rating: PG
Summary: AU. It's about kids, and family, and flocking. It's about love and death, with fishing and chips on the side. It's about Jack O'Neill having to explain all of that. . . .
Warning: canon character deaths mentioned (Charlie, Jack's son; Patrick Sheppard)
Series notes: part of the War Stories series (War Stories, How to Win a War, domestic, with pancakes). If you don't want to read all that, the Need to Know is that this is an AU where Rodney is in the Canadian Air Force, John's an aerospace engineer, and they adopted a daughter, Max, and a son, Sean (also known as Bean). John was injured in the Ori war; Bean is deaf.

How about those Yankees?

by Anchises

"I am not," Rodney says precisely, "upgrading Atlantis' wireless network so that people can use a LiveJournal install to post cat macros at each other."

John blinks. "What's a cat macro?"

Title: Hello, Rodney!
Author: by Eildon Rhymer ([livejournal.com profile] rhymer23)
Rating: PG-13 for the main story, but the optional ending (off-site) has some shocking double entendre
Spoilers: None
Words: 2800, plus pictures, educational activities, and optional alternative ending for the truly incorrigible.
Characters: Rodney, John, some of their little friends, and a baddy Wraith

Summary: Does Rodney look like a happy Rodney, or a sad Rodney? That's right, he looks like a sad Rodney. A grumpy Rodney. A not-very-happy-at-all Rodney. I wonder why he's such a sad Rodney. Let's find out, shall we?

Note: This story is so not what was intended by this challenge. This story is quite irredeemably wrong in every possible way. This is in the same vein as See John Run, my equally wrong "Shep whump for 3 year olds", though you don't need to have read that one first. The story is gen, but – yes, it gets worse! – for those entirely and utterly without shame, I even offer (off-site) an alternative slashy ending (John/Rodney). Yes, slash for 3 year olds*. I'm going to that special Hell, aren't I?

* Needless to say, this is quite definitely not really for children. Or grown-ups. Or anyone, really. Personally, I blame the people who encouraged me after the last one.

This is Rodney. Say hello to Rodney, children. 'Hello, Rodney!' )
