A man -- about as tall as John but broader along the shoulders -- ran down two steps at a time, and was out the door with a swirl of his trenchcoat.
"Ponytails," sniffed Rodney
This was the point where I started to squeal with glee.
The biggest problem I have with the story is that it is too short -- I'm not sure how comprehensible it will be to SGA fans who don't have a HL background. Also, whose Quickening did Duncan take? Sure looks like my boyfriend Methos at the end there, so it's not *him*. I am deeply disappointed at not having an extended scene between Methos & McKay, too -- I love that sort of thing (http://mecurtin.livejournal.com/288088.html).
Maybe I have to re-read it when I'm not so groggy to make sure it all makes sense to me.
The Joe-John connection is *gold*, and I shall adopt as my fanon whenever needed.
