I took a break from writing my disseration to read this as the rec intrigued me and just wow. I feel ever so slightly haunted now.

Wonderful tone the whole way through the story, caputuring the reactions of each individual and then to travel the rest of the way with John and his memory really made the fear come across.

Your head must be a wonderfully scary place. You managed to convey so much fear and emotion, yet keep it to a solumn pace which keeps to the haunting nature. Perfect quote at the end as well.
