A Burning Thing
Author: [livejournal.com profile] telesilla
Pairing:Dex/Emmagen/McKay/Sheppard
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: ~2,500
Disclaimer: The SGA characters do not belong to me. Duh.
Summary: Troupe Atlantis celebrates Mid-Winter with dance and song and music and love.

Notes:John Sheppard? Still totally my Barbie doll.

Seriously this whole fic can be blamed on iTunes. I didn't even know that I had a version of "Ring of Fire" that honestly sounds like belly dance music. Of course my mind went immediately to Belly Dancing John of Horizontal Figure Eight and so here's the latest of my Product Placement fics, which just happened to fit a flashfic challenge to a T. As always, you don't have to click on any of the links below to get what's going on in the fic. They're just bonus information.

To be invited to perform for the Archon on Mid-Winter's Eve was an incredible honor, one that artists of all kinds vied for during the late fall months. )

-title- Silver City Risen
-author- Sophonisba ([livejournal.com profile] saphanibaal)
-challenges- Documentation Challenge, Song and Dance challenge
-warnings- Operatic version of history, with added love affairs and tragic death.
-pairings- Within the opera, Teyla/AR-1, Carson/Perna, OMC/OFC, Sheppard/McKay, Weir/Sheppard, and Sheppard/McKay/Teyla
-characters- First season ensemble
-disclaimer- Not mine. Not at all. "This looks familiar" is "I'm Going To Go Back There Someday" from The Muppet Movie; "In the darkness I rise" is Kansas' "Icarus II"; "Oracle of Dudohn" is loosely inspired by A. E. Housman's poem "The Oracles." (Most of the other music sounds like a symphony orchestra playing rock music from the latter half of twentieth-century Earth, if anyone's interested.)
-spoilers- First season; a few things about the second season that are general knowledge
-word count- 3033
-summary- In some ways, Sora had the last word, after all.

Title: Two To Tango
Author: Tielan
Summary: Agent John Sheppard stops for a night in Buenos Aires, and the pulse of the music rides his soul as his partner rides his desire - without mercy.
Pairing: John/Teyla
Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: Stargate Atlantis isn't mine.
Notes: Because someone mentioned John and Teyla dancing the tango and the muse ran off with it. This originally started out as 'Sheppard, John Sheppard', then turned into 'Caldwell's Angels' and then...kinda got off-track. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dzurlady for the beta!

Author: Jade
Rating: PG
Character(s): John (with mentions of John/Elizabeth)
Notes: Not beta read... why because this was actually due two days ago ><. It's a song fic, obviously. Notes for the song will follow the story, mostly because for anyone who knows the song it'll spoil the story for you.

A/N: Unbetaed because a) I just thought of this, 2) I wanted to slip this in before the challenged closed, and pi) the usual suspects are in hiding. :-) My humble apologies for all screwups. ETA: thanks to Josh for catching two typos :).

Title: Atlantis: Boy Band Extraordinaire

Characters: John, Rodney, Ronon, Carson, and Aiden

Genre: Gen, crack, AU, humor (a little serious in parts)

Warnings:  100% images - hosted at a separate website, with links back to this post. Not dial-up friendly.  Read “The Boys From Atlantis” (Pt1) & (Pt2)  first, or this won’t make much sense.

A/N: Huge thanks to graceandfire and suicidallemoneater (the Grammar Queen) for their beta-ing, and for trying to stomp out my British-isms. Any quirky punctuation is my fault. I blame the idea on anyone who wrote a fic that might have inspired me. This was started months ago; the only reason I've finished it was because of this challenge.

Title: The Boys From Atlantis (Pt2)

Characters: John, Rodney, Ronon, Carson, Aiden (and a whole bunch more)

Genre: Gen, crack, AU, humor (a little serious in parts)

Wordcount: Much longer than I intended. Hence the two parts that LJ has forced upon me!

Warnings:  Second part of two. First part found here.

There's also another linked fic that I shall shortly post "Atlantis: Boy Band Extraordinaire"

Title: Baby Steps
Author: Liondragon
Challenge: Song and Dance
Word Count: 309 in 17 pages.
Summary: An elaborate song and dance begins with baby steps.
Warnings: A truly impulsive flashfic!  Fluff and drama and comedy and squinting at the screen.  And serious plot.  Any crayonmanship that seems too good is my own fault.  Some pages have visible backs (the Millers like to re-use).  Sesame Street and Stargate Atlantis do not belong to me.  Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] spoke and [livejournal.com profile] melagan for audiencing, and to Crayola for totally being there for me.

Spoilers for McKay and Mrs. Miller.

Summary: “How in hell can you be jealous when you know, baby, I’m your slave?”

Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate Atlantis or any of its characters. I write merely for the love of it. Also the song is ‘I’m Always True To You’ from ‘Kiss Me, Kate’; I had in my mind the version by the 1999 Revival Cast, which is available here. Lyrics are here.

Title: Lazy Sunday
Author: Ras Elased
Pairing: Rodney/John
Rating: Um…light R? Nothing graphic, but lots of fluff and nudity.
Warnings: Slash, and did I mention the fluff and nudity?
Summary: “Just get your ass out of bed and dance with me, McKay.”
Author’s notes: This is an unrelated offshoot of my other (unfinished, and possibly becoming too long) story for the Song and Dance challenge, since I wanted to use the song “Moonlight Serenade” in that story but couldn’t work it in. (If anyone needs a different dl site for the song besides MegaUpload, let me know in the comments.)  Blame sheafrotherdon for putting the idea of John as Austin Powers into my head. For all the rest, you can blame me. I have no excuse except shameless self indulgence. ;)
