And she had learned that when the kids were noisy, everything was okay. When they went quiet ... that was when you knew they were up to something.
Before I read any further, I though I'd say that this bit really struck me...because my mother still says that this was the case with my brother and myself when we were little. Reading this made me smile - a lot.
