I don't see where anybody mentioned Rodney enjoying whatever experience brought him to this decision. Your Rodney says outright that "sex, uh, hurts". Your John assumed that it "failed spectacularly". I'm pretty sure I implied that Rodney would equate it to torture. Perhaps I should have been more blunt. Besides, I can't really picture Rodney being moved to entrust his privates to Beckett's scalpel by a good experience.
Of course, since you're the author and I'm trying to convince you, that probably means not Sheppard and given your other comment not Rod. I'm all out of obvious. You ever planning on telling the rest of us who the "other" in Rodney/other is?
