ADMIN: The Folklore and Superstitions Challenge

saphanibaal suggested a folklore challenge:

The Athosians undoubtedly have many stories and luck-bringing actions of their own; so should Ronon; the Atlantis Expedition should have enough people from varying backgrounds that they'd have many different tales and superstitions (here I'm embarrassed to admit that I only know two Czech stories off the top of my head, one of which is due to a carol); and of course there's always the popular "retell a familiar tale with the TV show characters."

So folklore, superstitions, cultural myths, legends, and tales; this is the time to tell 'em.

It's Saturday, January 20, 2007; stories will be due Saturday, Feburary 3rd at midnight eastern.

So. I have the flu for the second time in a month, plus I got sick from the idiots who own the building I work in deciding that January was a good time to paint the place.

So I want a sickness challenge. Bacterial, viral, mental, emotional illness; serious like cancer, or harmless like a hangnail; food poisoning, PMS, allergies; chronic conditions (like diabetes or McKay's purported hypoglycemia) or temporary ones (like appendicitis or exposure to a harmful substance - paint fumes comes to mind!). I don't care how you do it. Just make 'em sick, so I feel better about being sick. Again.
