I've written a few sestina-fics in House fandom (here (http://bironic.livejournal.com/tag/sestina%21fic), if you want to see) and I'm really starting to think that the form is ideal for fanfic, especially for characters who obsess over the same thoughts (or people) and for any canon that returns to the same themes again and again. This one was actually fairly easy and fun to write, as opposed to pulling teeth to get the lines to flow properly. I credit Rodney's endearing babble.
