ADMIN: Stuck On/With/To You Challenge

sapphiresmuse suggested that we have a challenge wherein, "Something and/or someone gets stuck to someone, be it by glue, epoxy, some form of adhesive or even something mental or Ancient forcing physical adhesion." And you know, seriously, the possibilities here range from the wackiness of "I Love Lucy," to shipwrecks and chaingangs and just, it's a whole barrel of fannish joy, ain't it?

Stick it somewhere by December 11th, at midnight eastern.

Yes, though New Years is too late; our amnesty will run from December 11 through January 1st (i.e through challenge and yule ficathon season).

How do you go about suggesting challenges anyway? Cuz there was some talk over at genrefinders (http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/60647.html?view=371431&style=mine#t371431) that there really should be a 'Not human' challenge sometime. So that we get all our, 'Sorry, I was really an alien all along' cravings out of the way...

This is exactly what you do--you drop a comment into any ADMIN post (best to do the most recent one.) I mostly try to get to all of them, though I do reframe some to broaden participation if they're narrowly focused, and I try not to have a bunch of the same kind of prompts in a row.

Anyway, I LOVE the "not human" challenge--wingfic! elves! aliens of all stripes! We can do that early in the new year; after this challenge we go into amnesty, but I'll kick it up the list for early in the new year.

Amnesty? It's a free for all period where you can answer any previous challenge--perfect for that thing you half started and life interrupted and you never finished it, or for that challenge you had the flu during, or that other challenge you weren't even in the fandom yet for and damn, you missed it!

You can write for any of our previous challenges between--whatever it is, dec 11, I think, and new years day!

(This will all be announced formally at the right time, but that's the heads up.)

Duplicates, doppelgängers, doubling down (as in gambling) or double action (as in backgammon), doubles (as in tennis), body doubles, double (the baseball play or snooker shot), double variation (the musical form), "double your pleasure / double your fun" -- the possibilities are endless.

*claws way up to surface--yes, alas, we did do this. OTOH--well, two things!

1) amnesty is coming up--from Dec 11 to the end of the year you can write on ANY OF OUR PREVIOUS CHALLENGES! So if you have a doppleganger challenge, bring it!

2) Your more general idea of doubles-- Duplicates, doubling down (as in gambling) or double action (as in backgammon), doubles (as in tennis), body doubles, "double your pleasure / double your fun" - etc could still make a great challenge. The "it takes two" challenge, perhaps?

We did specifically actually build pirates into our Criminal Challenge (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/613510.html) ---AND!!--we are about to go into challenge amnesty (where you can submit for any previous challenge)--SO if you want to write your pirate challenge, you can submit it during Amnesty to the Criminal Challenge.
