Oh, these are fantastic! And wonderfully well drawn. It took me a minute to "get" the falling-off-the-cliff one (I thought "landslide" at first) but it was my favorite once I did. I wonder how many MALPs the SGC has to request in the course of a given fiscal year?

Yup, one wonders. I'm also wondering if they've by now outfitted their jumpers with magnetic grappling hooks, to retrieve all those MALPs floating in orbit.

This kind of stuff is really fun to draw. At first I drew the cliff one in a conventional way, with the gate at the top, then it occurred to me that I'd have to turn it to get a proper dizzying effect.

Wow. Those are gorgeous (and hilarious). The Space malp was especially pretty and B7C 114 cracked me up. How did you make these?

How did you make these?

Oh, it's a wild mix. All except the spacegate are inked and colored with acrylics or watercolor, after which I scanned them in and ran them through a bunch of photoshop filters to get the blurred effects (what can I say, I'd just discovered filters and was like a kid with a new toy). The spacegate is a modified screencap, I just ran the gate itself through the posterize filter and drew in the planet outline to make it match the rest. The MALP template I made with photoshop; it's mostly vector graphic.

(Actually first I wanted to make tiny animated vids but then I advised myself to stick to things that are feasible...)
