Yeah, I'm with you about Landry. He has always come off too much Big Air Force to me, with not really having any clue what it means to be a part of the SGC. Hammond was the proper blend, a good commander, but also someone who never forgot individuals were involved. O'Neill was pretty much the other end of the spectrum from Landry, as someone who was too fixed on the individuals (and wanting to be involved himself), and forgetting about the big picture and the rest of Earth. (I put Elizabeth between Hammond and O'Neill, and Carter between Landry and Hammond with regard to their command on Atlantis.)
