Sheppard sips his coffee as his attention wanders back to McKay. McKay's not conventionally good looking – he's balding, he's got a little belly and his mouth does that weird drooping thing.

Sheppard puts his coffee down and sighs; McKay's also got beautiful eyes, a great ass and wonderfully broad shoulders. And besides all that - he's funny, sarcastic, cutting, frighteningly intelligent and has the most amazing sense of humour.

Sure, he hasn't fallen in love with McKay or anything, but, he admits to himself with a wry grimace, he's only holding on by his fingertips and the edge is crumbling fast.

He is balding ;) According to the dictionary it just means losing the hair on your head, so receding hairline = balding.

Also balding fit into my 100 words better than what I originally had.

And I'm glad you liked the last line. It kept annoying me while I was trying to sleep.
