TITLE: Though Duty Keep Us Parted
AUTHOR:
tielan
SUMMARY: A thrilling saga of forbidden love and unspeakable yearning set in the far-flung Pegasus galaxy against a backdrop of interplantary war!
PAIRING: Sheppard/Weir
RATING: PG-13
NOTES: I can't believe I wrote even this much. *dies laughing* It's more of a blurb than a story, but I hope you enjoy!
Though Duty Keep Us Parted
From the moment she looked into his hazel eyes and felt the air crackle between them, Elizabeth knew that she was deeply in trouble. Gone were the thoughts of her lover, Simon and her attention to duty and responsibility faded in the light of his smile. In spite of her best efforts to resist him, John Sheppard called to her with his soulful expressions, his voice of rough velvet, his unshaven jaw and his lingering streak of nobility and heroism.
Her soul trembled in the Atlantis night, longing for his touch. She yearned to feel the touch of his lips against her skin, and the caress of his hands on her body, longed for the sound of his voice calling for her - only for her.
Yet the harsh requirements of her role as expedition leader forced her to keep distant from him, she dared not give in to the desires of her heart. For, through his actions, John was responsible for destroying all hope of her people finding easy peace in the Pegasus galaxy...

Date: 2005-09-03 09:42 am (UTC)And you know, it's scary how much ff.n Sheppard/Weir fic is actually similar if not the same as this. Hypothetically speaking. If I was masochistic enough to read it in moments of boredom. Hypotheteically speaking, because if I was reading it, my brain would have imploded and I wouldn't be here writing this.
Uhm.

I'm at 1.11 -- and really interested to see where the writers take this whole thing, the relationships. This is such an ensemble show with buddy-cop elements; I can't feel any romantic vibes -- even Angel, ensemblest of them all, had more sizzle, with Kate, and Darla, some forced Cordy, and hey, I'm babbling about shows you prolly don't even care for!
0 :-)
But I offer you a pretty, self-made Sheppard icon. Mmh. Sheppard.
