Author's Notes: My title is stolen from Shakespeare, and the plot of this AU is obviously stolen from a rather famous novel by Stephen King. The thought of rewriting the entire story as an AU makes me quail though, so this is just the beginning of that hypothetical AU. Which I'm not writing. Oh, and Stargate: Atlantis doesn't belong to me either.

Notes: Gen; a bit under 900 words. Also, it kind of gave me the creeps, and I wrote it. Once upon a time, I would have said this tone was unusual for me, but somewhere along the line, I lost my fluff-fu and wandered over to dark!fic territory. Summary: “Teyla.” Her name sounds more like a curse than anything else, and she supposes she deserves that, given what he’s seen her do over the years.
