Title: Luckenbach, Texas
Pairing: Lorne, McKay, Ford, Caldwell gen
Rating: PG-13
Challenge: School
Summary: The new Daedalus personnel have a lot to learn -- not only about Atlantis, but about themselves.

The most important thing Caldwell learns is that he will always want the one woman he can't have.

This was fascinating! And a huge yay for minor character fic - proof that they can be just as interesting as the characters we know well.

Oh, this is excellent. I love it when people look at all the others there, and what they're going through. And Caldwell's not wrong about Sheppard. Really nice piece; and I love Romero's rant about Texans, and Lorne's opinion of Zelenka. Glee!

Typo spotting: Caldwell learns many things while in Atlantis: he learns that Sheppard is much better at his job that Caldwell expected I believe that second "that" should be a "than".

Yay, minor characters!(Wait, you mean there's more than eight people in Atlantis? o_o xD) This was so cool.

...he will always, always, want the one woman he can't have.
Glad I'm not the only one to notice that, even if the thought did make me cringe a little at first. Nice work!

He so needs a name in canon.

Military support staff? He's a sergeant in the Canadian military, but he's in a tech job. He's also really cute and gets lots of lines so he NEEDS a name, dammit!

Yes, he was in some eps in season one as well, and several in season two.

Okay. Wow. Really like this look into the new arrivals' adjustment to Atlantis. REALLY liked Lorne an' Caldwell's pieces (particularly Lorne's. *snerk* Radek. Heh) but that's probably cause I know them. The other two were good, too. Thanks for this.

I enjoyed this. Especially liked the salute to Grodin and Lorne’s insight into Radek

This was totally brilliant. I loved seeing Atlantis all over again from new eyes. We didn't really get to see the new folks being added into the culture that had already developed. This was really spectacular.

Okay, that didn't work.

*shakes fist at screen*

I had written this really long, incredibly insightful review that would have totally blown your mind, but now it is lost to the ages. Okay, not really. I just wrote that I really liked this piece. I like the Caldwell piece particularly, but I loved the Texan one too. Hell, I loved all of them!

One of the great things about SGA is the ensemble cast, and this is a wonderful exploration of some of the characters I firmly believe live in that world, even if the show never quite gets around to telling us about them. Or much about them, in Lorne and Caldwell's case. Thanks!

Awww I loved Caldwell's piece but Miko's McKay fantasy made me laugh. *grins* Lorne is such a cutie and the bit about Ford was cool too. I enjoyed your work and will have to keep a look out for more of your stuff in the future.

inexplicable truth is that Dr. McKay produces more Hail Marys than anyone—anyone—has a right to. They should all give thanks.

So true! *grins* *waves*

Such interesting glimpses into minor characters! Caldwell is probably my favorite, 'cause he so does have a crush on Weir.
