ADMIN POST: The Documentation Challenge

We've had some call for this challenge, which was very successful over at ds_flashfiction:

Write a story that is either in the form of, or prominently features, some kind of document (e.g. mission report, case log, personnel evaluation, scientific report, diary, journal, letter, deposition, email, computer reading, transcript, recommendation or reprimand, etc. etc.--anything you can think of.) Being that this is Atlantis, a more paperless environment, digital "documents" count.

Today is Wednesday, January 18th; stories are due Wednesday, February 1st, at midnight eastern.

Are works in progress okay? I've been working on a memo series, but it's ongoing. I don't think it'll finish until the show does! (And maybe not even then...)

I'm inclined to say no to WIP, because okay, yes, we routinely ignore the "word limit"--ha!--on "flashfiction", but it seems to me like if the story is so long it's not finished by the time the challenge closes, its really not flashfiction of any kind and can't be considered eligible. Sorry!

*raises hand* Can I suggest a "This is not happening" challenge? There could be AUs, World Gone Mad, denial!fic, Horrible, Terrible, No-Good, Very Bad Days, hideous disasters or you could just include the line. What do you think?

I suggest a butt challenge! Buttocks in all their (preferably naked, preferably buff) glory! They're a great place to be shot, receive a "manly" swat, or they could be red from spanking (okay, Ces, I admit, I want the challenge because I'm hoping someone will write a good spanking scene. Help a girl out! *g*) And also, for those who don't like to be limited, you could have the 'butt' of a joke, the 'butt' of a gun, someone needing to 'butt' the heck out of John and Rodney's kinky spanking sex life...
