There was so much in that scene that was brought up and dropped. I really needs to be explored. The line that kills me is when Rodney says "Just kill me now" and Carson says, "I wish I--" and then stops. I *swear* he was going to say "I wish I could." If it had been anything nice, he would have finished the sentence!
