Absolution by Lemonbella
Feb. 12th, 2006 04:22 pmElizabeth flipped the card over in her hand, and stared at the writing again. She was familiar with the concept, but this had arrived on her desk, unbidden, and for once she had absolutely no idea where to begin.
The thought occurred that perhaps she ought to consult Kate Heightmeyer, but something stopped her from following through with that almost immediately. The card had appeared on her desk for a reason. Absolution was sought from her for a reason.
She flipped the card once more and rested it against her laptop.
"I'm not certain that he wanted me to kill him."
