the top left is Sir Ian McKellen as Antonio Salieri, who was a contemporary of Mozart, on the top right. their supposed rivalry is the subject of (among other things) the play Amadeus, by Peter Shaffer (McKellen and Tim Curry on Broadway; the subsequent film had F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce): without spoiling the play or the movie, Salieri is good, but Mozart is Mozart, and Salieri is good enough to recognize that he'll never be that good, and he's tormented by jealousy. :-)
