It was unfortunate for me that I came across this while looking for a nice bedtime story. :)
You know, I think my biggest problem is to do with something that I remember from Sentinel fandom -- anybody who wrote a story with this kind of edge would have wanted to add the "partner betrayal" warning. Not that I think you should have warned for assholishness; either way, it's a concept I've never run across in any other fandom. Admittedly the Sentinel people were a little out there when it came to demanding warnings, but that particular one was never lampooned. So I know "partner betrayal" is real in people's minds and does affect folks who aren't me.
