Hands grip her thighs and then fingers drum on her knees and she looks down, remembering where she is.
“Hey, where were you then?” John asks, trailing a hand over her lower belly. Her gaze drags up from his chest, travels up his throat and finally comes to rest on his own eyes, green and concerned.
“Right here. Always, right here,” she breathes, one hand resting on his chest, fingernails digging into his skin ever so lightly just to see…
