The Wraith were just bugs in human suits, complex mimicries of people, nothing more. Because they couldn't be more, couldn't be something beyond a bug in skin suit. Because you didn't do this to people. And still his hands shook as he readied the needle, trembled with a numbing shade of horror as the newest retro-virus went to work, tearing away the bug from the human shell. This would prove it, prove they weren't human and he hadn't cemented his oath behind walls of bricks. It was just a bug, Montresor, just a bug.

In his dreams they were people.

I'm glad you liked it! ^_^ He always stuck me as such a mild mannered person, being forced into the front lines of full-blown war probably would have sent his brain a little sideways. Dehumanizing the enemy at it's finest! ^_^;;

Poor fella, I don't think he ever really realized what he was getting into. He seems like such a nice person to be handling such horrible stressors. *huggle her poor fictive* Glad you liked it! ^_^

I'm glad you liked it! ^_^ Considering how much time he must have spent having medical ethics hammered into his head, I figured he'd have had to rationalize the experimentation somehow... Poor fella.

That's the fun of playing with dark!motivations, you get to twist what's underneath so that you get the same reactions but for a completely different reason. ^_~
