Title: Mission Report Form 207B: First Contact Trading Establishment
Author: [livejournal.com profile] wordwitch
Rating: G, unlike the original!
Summary: Rodney McKay's report for [livejournal.com profile] coreopsis's scorching Puzzle Pieces:
Mission Report Form 207B: First Contact Trading Establishment

Team: SGA:1, McKay, Sheppard, Emmagen, Dex
Additional Personnel: None, thank god.
Gate Address: 8D3-X9M
Local Designation: people called Clallarral, which is damned hard to say, no matter what Teyla says.
Status of Mission: Qualified Success
Recommendations for further contact: Yes / No / With Conditions (clarify):
Do not, under any circumstances, drink anything but water you have taken with you. And eat lightly. And don't let them give you any massages. The food is great, and we need it, especially the sugar moss, but maybe Heightmeyer should clear any further teams before they hit that planet. And maybe afterwards too.

Samples of a drink and an oil have been provided to the chemists and Dr. Beckett for examination of composition and effect. Suggest classifying the results and/or developing an antidote soonest. God, if the mob ever got hold of that stuff, civilization as Earth knows it would be brought to its knees.

Additional Details:
We really need tricorders, so we can analyse things before we consume or breathe them. I'm setting up a team for that project as soon as I get out of this blasted infirmary.

Yes! Very good! Because having just read the original story again, there are insufficient euphemisms in the world to deal with that in any other way!

*God, if the mob ever got hold of that stuff, civilization as Earth knows it would be brought to its knees.*
Hmm yes! I wonder whether it could be used against the Wraith?!
