Hi, haven't written anything here, but I'm sucking it all up like ... well like it's suckable, I tell you.

And since I'm supposed to not be reading this, but be finishing up grad school crap instead, I can't do anything with the idea-ish thing that came to me, but I thought I'd throw it out here and see if anyone was planning to do it - or might, now:

Might this not be an excellent challenge for podcasts?

Not sure if anyone has suggested this already, but given the time frame of the next challenge, perhaps a scary/monster/Hallowe'en-ish story would be in order? After all, we have seen John trying (and failing) to scare the Athosian kids with Freddie Krueger (or Jason, I forget which). Just exactly what would scare the Athosians - or anyother race in Pegasus - aside from the Wraith?

I was just going to post that I wanted to request a Halloween challenge - hehehehe. Could you imagine them going to 'the land of the living dead' planet?

They run through the Stargate covered in blood and guts. Their guns still point at the Stargate even though the iris has been raised.

Rodney lowers his gun and begins searching his reddened skin, chanting "OhmygodohmygoddidIgetbitten?"

Teyla attempts to calm the scientist down.

Weir hurries down the stairs calling for a medical team. "John, what happened?

Sheppard catches his breath. His hand is shaking as he turns and stares at her, "It's bad enough there are vampires here but, zombies Elizabeth. There were honest to god ZOMBIES on that planet!"

Oh the possibilities.....

Masks and masquardes - in honor of the approaching halloween. Maybe just a Halloween-theme in general.
Masks don't have to be physical. They can be mental, emotional, spiritual - but one thing they all do is hide someone or somthing.
Except on rare occasions. Because sometimes, when we wear a mask, it is only then that our true selves are revealed.

I have a story to post for this challenge, but as I've never done it before, I was wondering if there are posting rules. I went through some of the admin posts, but they all seem to be challenges.

Anyhoo, is there a template to use? Or should I just use my own disclaimer thingy?

Hi, yay, welcome! No,there is no particular template to use. We do ask that you a) cut tag and b) put {story title] by {authorname] in the subject line. If you know how to tag, a tag would be appreciated. You can give as much or as little information as you want about the story; all we ask is that you warn for spoilers. I think that's it!

Thanks. One more question. Is it okay for the response to a challenge to be a little OT? I mean, a phone call is involved, in fact, it gets the whole ball rolling, but it's not really about a phone call. Is that good enough?

Well, I mean, we usually interpret these things fairly liberally. That said, you shouldn't cram in a story that doesn't fit. So it's your call as to which it is; does it seem a plausible response to you?
