Title: Atlantis: Boy Band Extraordinaire

Characters: John, Rodney, Ronon, Carson, and Aiden

Genre: Gen, crack, AU, humor (a little serious in parts)

Warnings:  100% images - hosted at a separate website, with links back to this post. Not dial-up friendly.  Read “The Boys From Atlantis” (Pt1) & (Pt2)  first, or this won’t make much sense.

A/N: Huge thanks to graceandfire and suicidallemoneater (the Grammar Queen) for their beta-ing, and for trying to stomp out my British-isms. Any quirky punctuation is my fault. I blame the idea on anyone who wrote a fic that might have inspired me. This was started months ago; the only reason I've finished it was because of this challenge.

I'm telling you, you did. I read it too. I spent money buying it - if it was NKOTB. I reckon their production costs (and skills) were about the same as mine - zero (and not much). Crappy cut outs, fact files, quizzes, polls, double sided giant posters... Why do I remember this so clearly. It's half my life-time ago! Help, I need help! (But I still want the giant John poster....

Thank you! It was a great experience 'making' it. I learnt loads about manipulating images, made my first working website, spent hours looking for suitable images of the boys (and wasn't that a onerous task?!).... So it changed my life too!

The real question is - did reading Cosmo change Ronon's life?

It's just one of those enduring memories - girls at my school rushing out to buy Cosmo so they could do the quiz. And as Ronon is the exact opposite of those Cosmo readin girls, it had to be him!

OMG the John poster!!! I want one!!! *ahem* I mean Lol, that was funny and ridiculaus ;) really well based on how those magazines go (ahh the bright colors are melting my eyes!) and the stupid quiz, and the fact thing *shakes head* although, citrus bees, I picked up on that and then Rodney mentioned it and i loved his reaction to it lol. citrus bees. *files it for later* and of course woolsey wouldnt understand the dynamic of the boys *huggles them*

Here, gaze at a John icon instead! The quiz was stupid, as are ALL magazine quizzes - and it took a whole ten minutes to write. The 'citrus bees' were a happy accident. I left out a comma, but when I re-read it I realised it had to stay in. Poor Rodney!

Thank you - I like to make people laugh and laugh! I've actually never bought Cosmo - but I've heard about the quizzes. In my early teens my money went on magazines with NKOTB stuff in them, which transformed into Bon Jovi in my later years... Of course, now I've matured I don't collect posters and read articles about SGA, I save photos to my hard drive and read fan fic - which is TOTALLY different. Really, it is... Honest... Umm ok then - may be not!

It was fun to put together - gazing at photos of my boys for hours upon end... The edits were a very late addition. I think Wolsey ended up with about 30 seconds of usable film in total.

BTW - I know a child with Asberger's. I met him when he was three and at the time I disliked children and had no experience being around them. He transformed me in that area - I now love kids! He's very special in more ways than one.

I've never been overly fond of small people either - too time consuming. However, I've had to change 'my tune' a bit over the years. Now I have 4 children and the two boys are autistic. You've probably quite safe now that you are a child lover - it's like a vaccination against being invaded.

I wish I could say that the 'citrus bees' thing was something I thought up - but I made the typo, then re-read the text and totally cracked up! Poor Rodney!

To be honest - there are a few things in there that I think could be better. They don't pursue Rodney's line about 'Playgirl' and Ronon doesn't quite fit his character.

Still, it's the most work I've put into a story (if you can call it that), and I am rather pleased with it.
