[livejournal.com profile] owleyes_arisen suggests a "Masks and Masquerade Challenge," noting that "masks don't have to be physical. They can be mental, emotional, spiritual - but one thing they all do is hide someone or something.
Except on rare occasions. Because sometimes, when we wear a mask, it is only then that our true selves are revealed."

Today is Sunday, February 25; stories will be due on March 11th at midnight eastern.

Can I make a suggestion for the next challenge? Could it be "Baseball?" April 1 is Opening Day! Yay! So anything baseball, watching, playing, or full on AU... ::crossing fingers and hoping::

Rather than baseball in specific, how about a Sports Challenge? Or Team Sports? Baseball seems a little too specific to get a lot of different stories out of, but I can think of about a million ideas for generally sports-related stories -- John and Rodney bickering about Canadian football, the team playing [insert favorite team sport here], local Pegasus Galaxy sporting events (GLADIATORS!) ...

What about a sort of Zoo Challenge?

Either people visit the zoo, or people find themselves "captured from the wild" and locked up in a zoo as specimine of Milky Way Galaxy Humans. Maybe John is mistaken for an Ancestor?

Can you imagine them putting John and Rodney in the same "habitat" and expecting them to be a breeding pair? ("Clearly, some alien zoologist has no idea how sex works!" "Shut up, Rodney, you want them to seperate us?")

I can imagine this going any number of ways. Perhaps Ronan is sought as the rare last of his species. Perhaps they stumble upon a lone Wraith in a habitat, looking worn down and bedraggled. Maybe Micheal is in a zoo somewhere...

This is inspired by the old comics where Superman was put in a zoo, and that one episode of "Captain Planet" where the Planeteers were captured... mostly it's probably a good excuse to play with the idea of stockholm syndrome, I think.
