ADMIN: The Animal Challenge

You know, sometimes there's a Zeitgeist and all you can do is get out of the way.

We had FOUR animal-related challenge suggestions last month: leesa_perrie wanted animal-bots: Doesn't matter what type of animal-bot (cat/dog/funky alien creature etc),...and they can be friendly/hostile, maybe even malfunctioning and gone psycho! Or cute and loveable... meret wanted teddy bears or stuffed animals, losyark wanted a pet/zoo challenge. Either folks visit an alien zoo, find the dusty, rusty sad corpse-remains of one on Atlantis, or are captured to become exhibits themselves? and owleyes_arisen asked for a straightforward animals challenge: Cute and cuddly to razor-sharp bunnies of doom, Rodney's cats to the strange pet we all know Ronan had to have had as a kid - spirit-beasts and shapeshifters, the lot of it!

Watch me get out of the way! Put a Ronon's robot alien teddy bear in a zoo and get the hat trick.

It's March 29; stories will be due (I know, nobody even believes me anymore, but certainly not BEFORE:) April 12th at midnight.

I'm slightly confused on one rule within the community--after the due date, are we still allowed to post fics from previous topics? I just found the community and want to write a Harlequin fic and post it here, but if it isn't allowed, I'll just post it in my journal. Thanks!

Hi there! Alas, no, you can't post to challenges after the due date. But feel free to a) write and post in your journal (and feel free to crosspost to sga_noticboard or anywhere else, or b) wait until we have one of our Amnesties--we have Challenge Amnesty periods once or twice a year where you can answer any previous challenge we've ever done.

Can the next challenge involve the idea of post-atlantis. not Au persay, but rather Atlantis being taken over by the military for weapons research, or something similar, and any character trying to find their home back on Earth. Together or seperate. Anything about trying to refind what they once had.
