'Declassification challenge'
Why? Because there are too damn few stories about it.
What happens after Stargate program and Atlantis project become known Earth wide? How do people who knew Sheppard, Mckay and the rest react, how do the families of the dead and still living Expedition members feel and think about the whole thing? Do the Atlanteans have to do interviews like SGC had to do a few years back?
You get the general idea. Though there's not a doubt in my mind that if the challenge is posted quite a number of people will take it in their own direction.
That's exactly why I want this challenge. I want to read such stories and there are so many authors out there who can make wonders with such a prompt. I'm selfish and greedy. And I'm working on it.
What do the community leaders say?

Date: 2007-12-05 08:15 pm (UTC)I think it's a good idea! I think SGA fandom has been less concerned with declassification because--well, the characters haven't been on earth so much until recently. So like, most of the characters wouldn't have been around to see/experience declassification; in that way, it's really different than SGA. But I'd take a go at it! Maybe we could combine it with some other, broader, information leak idea, so that people who didn't want to write earth stories could deal with another, Pegasus, type leak.
Thank you for consideration
Date: 2007-12-06 08:21 am (UTC)I'm looking forward to seeing how will you formulate it.
Thank you once again.
