....and this is the right place to suggest a challenge.
If not, don't yell at me too loudly, and please point me in the right direction.

'Declassification challenge'
Why? Because there are too damn few stories about it.
What happens after Stargate program and Atlantis project become known Earth wide? How do people who knew Sheppard, Mckay and the rest react, how do the families of the dead and still living Expedition members feel and think about the whole thing? Do the Atlanteans have to do interviews like SGC had to do a few years back?

You get the general idea. Though there's not a doubt in my mind that if the challenge is posted quite a number of people will take it in their own direction.
That's exactly why I want this challenge. I want to read such stories and there are so many authors out there who can make wonders with such a prompt. I'm selfish and greedy. And I'm working on it.
What do the community leaders say?

Thank you for consideration

I don't mind the theme being broadened, but I would like for the focus to stay on the reactions of others to the SGA characters. And them dealing with those reactions too, of course.
I'm looking forward to seeing how will you formulate it.

Thank you once again.

Given that we've already had a Doppelganger challenge, I don't know that this is a suggestion you'll opt to take. Still, after watching S4E10 ("This Mortal Coil"), I'd very much like to see ... well, an "alternate point of view" challenge, if you will -- stories written from the POV of the different "alternate versions" we've encountered. Who they are, what they do from here on in, the choices they make, the way they see the world ... I have a deep, deep love for stories about the nature of identity, reality, truth, free will vs. predetermination, and this hits all those buttons.

So if there's a way to do this here, that'd be awesome. If not, let me know, because I might just go run the challenge myself. :)
